👋 Hi, I am Showkot Hossain, a curious researcher from a small but beautiful country, Bangladesh.

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. I work as a Graduate Research Assistant under Prof. Taeho Jung, Associate Professor at the same university.

About Me

  • Research Areas: My research interests lie in Security, Distributed Systems, and Confidential Computing.
  • Education: I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka in January 2020.
  • Professional Experience: After graduation, I worked as a Software Engineer for about 3.5 years at leading multi-national software companies in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  • Undergraduate Research: My undergrad thesis topic was security and blockchain, supervised by Dr. Mosarrat Jahan and Dr. Upama Kabir.

  • Secured government scholarships with a full tuition waiver for achieving good results (top 1%, scored above 80% in each subject, GPA 5.0 out of 5.0) in primary(5th grade), junior (8th grade), secondary(10th & 12th grade) level exams under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
